Sometimes the best things to do when you move to a new city is to start with all the tourist attractions, these are well known and you can bring friends who don't live in Toronto with you who will love doing "Toronto things."
The first, and most obvious, attraction is the CN Tower. This attraction is great because it is at the heart of the city, and you can see all of Toronto from the top! After seeing the city from the observatory deck you can stop by the restaurant and enjoy a meal. And if you're looking to spend a little bit more, the Edgewalk is an amazing experience. Check out prices and more details here: https://www.cntower.ca/intro.html
To go hand in hand with the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium is right next door and perfect if you're not big on heights! At Ripley's there massive aquarium tanks and small interactive stations throughout. This location is great to grab some food or drinks at the Rec Room afterwards. Ripley's is especially great if you are going with children, super family friendly! https://www.ripleyaquariums.com/canada/
Finally, as we approach the summer months the best Toronto experience for newcomers is Jays games. This activity is relatively inexpensive and can take up a whole day. You can find tickets on Stubhub, Ticketmaster or the Gametime App. Grab some friends, some drinks at the game and meet new people sitting around you! https://www.mlb.com/bluejays
Stay tuned for my next post on some less obvious things to do here in Toronto!

Google Marketing Platform - Optimize
A tool offered by Google Marketing Platform, Optimize, has the ability to engage viewers based on a customized design specific to them. You are able to view different statistics related to your blog and see how the website can be improved based on the actions a visitor takes.
With the available statistics you are also able to customize your blag based on the audience viewing it. For example, if you noticed that you have a group of 15-25 year olds visiting your blog from your Instagram biography and viewing on a mobile device, you can customize the blog's appearance and accessibility specifically to those visitors.
You have options to test and try out different variations to your blog in order to create the best digital experience for viewers, and hopefully turn those viewers into returning viewers.

Different places to learn more!
When I first moved here I spent a lot of time researching things to do and trying to find a place where I could see what was going on in the city. I used https://www.blogto.com/ to find a lot of different things going on. I would definitely recommend checking it out to find some cool events happening around the city!
With so many fast food, restaurant and grocery store options here, finding good places to eat and shop was overwhelming! I found it very hard to eat healthy and while at a restaurant. A great blog to learn about eating healthy is https://anashealthyfood.blogspot.com/ where there will be posting about how to nourish your body. When it comes to eating out, finding a great restaurant out of the thousands here can be challenging, anyone looking to eat out here should check https://jjfoodieadventures.blogspot.com/ about different places to eat here in Toronto! And if eating out isn't your preferred choice (it can get expensive!) learn how to Meal Prep here http://mealprepmadeeasy.blogspot.com/ !
Finding a job can be difficult with all the people here all fighting for the same end goal: a well paying job in an exciting and innovative field. Marketing can be extremely challenging to get into, however looking into smaller companies can make the search more interesting and provide you with more opportunity! Check out https://www.cheeagency.com/ to learn about some great marketing agencies here in Toronto!
Moving here made me very conscious of the amount of waste produced and how the environment will be impacted if the entire country was so heavily populated and produced so much waste. The impact we make now is so important for the world's future. A blog that talks about some interesting issues and provides simple things YOU can do to help is https://beyondtheblonde.org/

Welcome to the Blog!
I moved to Toronto about a year ago, and was overwhelmed with the amount of choices in Toronto.
There are endless neighbourhoods, restaurants, shopping destinations, bars and things to do. This was amazing, but scary at the same time. Since I'm from a small town I was used to having one mall, a handful of cool restaurants and very few things to do, I was unsure where to even start in Toronto.
I have spent the last year exploring different areas and am here to help other young professionals learn to live like a local here in Toronto.
Follow along for some recommendations or just to see my experiences!
