Sometimes the best things to do when you move to a new city is to start with all the tourist attractions, these are well known and you can bring friends who don't live in Toronto with you who will love doing "Toronto things."
The first, and most obvious, attraction is the CN Tower. This attraction is great because it is at the heart of the city, and you can see all of Toronto from the top! After seeing the city from the observatory deck you can stop by the restaurant and enjoy a meal. And if you're looking to spend a little bit more, the Edgewalk is an amazing experience. Check out prices and more details here: https://www.cntower.ca/intro.html
To go hand in hand with the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium is right next door and perfect if you're not big on heights! At Ripley's there massive aquarium tanks and small interactive stations throughout. This location is great to grab some food or drinks at the Rec Room afterwards. Ripley's is especially great if you are going with children, super family friendly! https://www.ripleyaquariums.com/canada/
Finally, as we approach the summer months the best Toronto experience for newcomers is Jays games. This activity is relatively inexpensive and can take up a whole day. You can find tickets on Stubhub, Ticketmaster or the Gametime App. Grab some friends, some drinks at the game and meet new people sitting around you! https://www.mlb.com/bluejays
Stay tuned for my next post on some less obvious things to do here in Toronto!
